Anybody who knows me personally knows that I am a passionate fan of The Ohio State University football team. My dad took me to my first Buckeye game when I was 8 years old (we beat Oregon State that day), and I was hooked. I went to OSU right out of high school, and never missed a game. Many, many great memories at the Horseshoe.
A few minutes ago, Ohio State finished off Northwestern, 48-7. The second the game ended, it became Michigan Week. Nothing else is as big as Michigan Week. The biggest rivalry in college football history, and it's upon us again. Almost every year, the game decides who wins the Big Ten Championship, and this year is no different. If the Buckeyes win, they win the Big Ten title, all by themselves if Penn State should fall to Michigan State later that day.
So get ready....it's Michigan Week. Jim Tressel, here's your chance to show dominance over your biggest rival. A 4-1 record against That Team Up North would be a mighty pretty trophy to put on the shelf.
My prediction....the Wolverines do everything to stop the two men who crushed them last year, Troy Smith and Ted Ginn Jr, and instead get bulldozed by Santonio Holmes and Antonio Pittman. Too many weapons, too dominating of a defense.
Jeff, you know I'm a Notre Dame fan! I've heard some talk that if Notre Dame and Ohio State win out, we could be looking at a Notre Dame/Ohio State BCS bowl game!
I don't want to jinx either team though. Go IRISH!
